About
Pūlama I Nā 'Ōpio o Hawai'i
Our mission is to inspire a deeper connection to ka moana (the ocean), ka ʻāina (the land), and the rich heritage of Hawaiʻi. We provide educational programs rooted in ʻike Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian knowledge) and environmental science, empowering learners of all ages to understand, respect, and protect the ecosystems that sustain island life.
Through hands-on experiences, cultural practices, and scientific discovery, our programs encourage mālama ʻāina (to care for and protect the land) and kuleana (responsibility) toward our environment. By blending traditional Hawaiian values with modern science, we strive to nurture a generation of thoughtful stewards who live with aloha ʻāina, a deep love and respect for the natural world.

Mission
Our mission is to advance learning through programs that integrate ʻike Hawaiʻi, ocean studies, and environmental science, cultivating aloha ʻāina (love and respect for the land) and environmental stewardship.
Vision
We strive to be a leading source of environmental and cultural education in Hawaiʻi, inspiring innovation, stewardship, and a lifelong respect for the interconnectedness of people, place, and planet.
